The Diamond Princess debuted in 2004. At 116,000 tons with a capacity of 2,670, this is one of Princess’ largest ships. The amenities offered are first class and the spacious elegance of the ship is second to none. Over 700 of the cabins have balconies, with cabin sizes ranging from just under 170 square feet all the way up to the grand penthouse at over 1,300 square feet. All cabins have televisions, refrigerators and safes.

Entertainment choices are as abundant as the ship itself. Guests can participate in various classes and activities via the Scholarship@Sea program, which includes photography, culinary arts and ceramics, or take in live shows and first-run movies at the Princess Theater. Dancing and live music takes place at Skywalkers nightclub and Club Fusion, or passengers can venture into cyber space at the huge internet café. This is a family-friendly ship and the little ones can play at the designated “Fun Zone” area. Teens will be able to relax away from mom and dad at their own “Off Limits” area, with video games, movies and activities.

Princess caters to guests individual preferences with its “Personal Choice” dining plan. Travelers may select to experience a traditional, assigned time dinner arrangement in the International Dining Room, or enjoy the flexibility of “anytime” dining in one of the ships other four dining rooms. There are also specialty restaurants that offer a fine dining experience for a nominal service charge, as well as the casual Horizon Court Buffet with 24 hour service.
